		<description>Really nice picture sequence.  I&#039;ve been up Monadnock a number of times, but learned a few things geologic from reading your blog here.

I arrived at your blog via your post about hunting petrified wood, and find your writing very clear and interesting.  Now back to Monadnock...

Did you know this?  Monadnock is the most climbed mountain in the world.  Mount Fiji first held this title (Monadnock was #2 for a long time), until they built a road to the top, which disqualified Fiji, and put Monadnock at the top of the list.  

One other thing: your 10/2009 update  implies others are lazy for seeking info on driving up the mountain.  I humbly submit to you that those searchers (or someone they would drive with) might not have the means to climb, perhaps due to physical or mental infirmity.  In such cases, scolding remarks say more about the author than they do the reader.
